PAMELA an Open World Survival Horror game

So I was just reading up on PAMELA and I’m not quiet sure how I feel about it.  It gives me a BioShock like vibe.  Perhaps it was the music in the trailer gave me that feeling but at the same time I almost feel bored watching the trailer.  Perhaps I am missing something here?

If you want to see the current trailer here it is…

ABOUT PAMELA

As for the actual game, as the title says PAMELA is an open world survival horror game.  According to Adam Simonar the Studio Director of NVYSE Studios, “PAMELA explores the unforeseen consequences of humanity’s craving for technological and biological advancement”.

Sigh… why is it always the same crap.  Yes… I get it! Humanity is going to drive itself into extinction with all this technology.  We will be destroyed by our own creations.  Meh, whatever lets look past this a bit and see what is actually being offered.

In PAMELA you awake as a Sleeper from cryosleep in Eden.  Eden, as you might have guessed is a fallen utopian city.  Now you, Sleeper with your handy sidekick PAMELA must survive this world you have come into and figure out what events lead to the downfall of the Eden civilation.

According to NVYSE, PAMELA is a personality-driven AI system so no encounter will be the same as the Afflicted react in unpredictable ways.

As of right now PAMELA is scheduled to be released in 2016.  I am looking forward to seeing more actual game play of PAMELA and how all the mechanics of it work before I really cross this one off the list.
